The Mission of God (part 2) - Isaiah 56:1-8

Returning to Isaiah 56, we see that the local church is charged with carrying out the mission of God to bring the gospel to all peoples. As people who have received mercy, we are called to follow Christ into the brokenness of this world to welcome in the hopeless, the outcast, the others who have not yet believed.

Greeting One Another - Romans 16

One of the grace outcomes of this pandemic has been to rediscover the importance of stepping towards one another. This Sunday we begin a series on the Christian One Anothers found in the New Testament.  From Romans 16 we're reminded of the importance of greeting, accepting and extending hospitality to one another.

I Believe in the Holy Spirit - John 14:18-27

Returning to our series from the Apostles' Creed, we see from John 14, four promises of what the Spirit of God desires to do in us today.

Conceived by the Holy Spirit, and Born of the Virgin Mary - Luke 1:26-35

From Luke 1 we're reminded of how great is this mystery—that the Son of God, being truly divine, would through his birth also become truly human. God chooses to unite himself to the human race in the only possible way for salvation to occur.

Love - John 21:1-19

We are reminded in John 21 that the gospel is a love story. It's the story of how God's love pursues, restores and transforms a lost people.

The Cross of Christ - John 19:16b-30

From John 19 we see that Jesus bore his own cross willingly, fulfilled the promise of scripture, and died as the true King in order to complete the work of salvation on the cross.

Jesus Prays for His Disciples - John 17:6-19

From John 17:6-19 we learn that in his last hours Jesus prayed that God would keep his disciples faithful, grant them joy, make them holy, and send them on mission.

Perfect Unity Part 2 - John 17:20-23
