The Promised King and His Peaceful Kingdom - Isaiah 11:1-10

From Isaiah 11 we learn that Jesus is the promised King and that his kingdom will be a peaceful kingdom.

To Us a Child Is Born - Isaiah 9:6-7

One of the things we learn from Isaiah is that God is the only one who brings true, lasting hope. In Isaiah 9 Hope comes in the form of a child who will reign as king forever.

Far as the Curse Is Found - Isaiah 4:2-6

Apart from the bad news of the curse, there is no good news of the beautiful and righteous reign of Christ on the earth. Isaiah reminds us in chapter 4 that the "branch of the Lord" will bring joy, restoration and healing to all the earth.

Conceived by the Holy Spirit, and Born of the Virgin Mary - Luke 1:26-35

From Luke 1 we're reminded of how great is this mystery—that the Son of God, being truly divine, would through his birth also become truly human. God chooses to unite himself to the human race in the only possible way for salvation to occur.

Love - John 21:1-19

We are reminded in John 21 that the gospel is a love story. It's the story of how God's love pursues, restores and transforms a lost people.

Peace - John 20:19-23

From John 20 we learn that Jesus has the power to say, "Peace be still," and to rebuke the wind and the storm that comes in the form of your greatest fear.

Christmas: God's Amazing Salvation Plan - John 1:19-29
